Thai Food and Healthy Eating
There are various claims and some interesting articles about how Thai food is a healthier option than many other types of cuisine, such as indian or chinese.
According to a BBC news article:-
The majority of take aways are ‘loaded with saturated fat', “Traditional Thai dishes tend to be healthier, as many are based on steamed rice and vegetables, fish, lemon and garlic."
A tourism website on Thailand claims, “Thai food not only tastes good, but is also healthy due to its low fat and the nutritious properties of its herbal ingredients.”
According to a magazine article, Eating Thai Style—Eating Healthy, “. . . eating Thai style will enhance the body with appropriate nutrients, energy, minerals, vitamins and dietary fibre for preventing coronary heart disease, dyslipidaemia, strokes, obesity, diabetes and some cancers.”
